I looked over CORE 3-3 again because it rang a bell for me. I ran it at GENCON and all the skill challenges were difficult to interpret and run. My tables rated me poorly when I ran this so I do not have fond memories of it. They said I did not prepare well for the adventure even though I read it over three times including the slot before the adventure. I guess I am not a good enough DM for GENCON that is why I never want to DM their again. Anyhow, it is written better than many Adventure League adventures are now. If it was written in the current style it would have been a nightmare. I agree with you that it appears to me now to be a fairly good example of adventure writing. I ran a similar adventure using skill challenges that were difficult for me called The Seat of the Ruler by Blake Jones. I think it was written well however. I discuss it in the podcast reviewing it. If you know the guy let him know people have been saying good things about that adventure.
Thanks for the comment, Michael!
