There are tons (kind of literally) of adventure content supported by the Fifth Edition of Dungeons & Dragons; especially given the breadth and depth of the DMs Guild and other sources. Still, the tales from editions past are many, varied, and often amazing…and sometimes, the most poorly-executed concept from the past ages can make for some fun content to modern eyes. So what to do with those thin books known by alphanumeric combinations, massive, paperback mega-dungeons produced to show off now-common beasties, and piles of Dungeon magazines? Shawn and Teos are here to teach you how to upcycle the adventures of past editions!

Man, I was really hoping y’all would review Strixhaven. Some good stuff in there.
This has my interest, because I love some of the older adventures, warts and all. With a little love, they are great in 5e. (Not to be sarcastic, but most of the 5E modules needed work as well, so its all good.)
The thing about 5E is that the designers and writers seemed to have a love for B/X, 1E, and 3.5, which makes it fairly easy to modify modules from all three of those eras. (hat’s not a slam on 4E, but from a design perspective, 4E adventures are very different and the stat blocks are harder to convert.
Just like converting something like Hero System to 5E. Not bad, just different. Great, now I want to convert Griffin Island to 5E)
In the ends, 5E seems to be the easiest one to convert into and out off across the genres, so this should be a great set of podcasts.
I don’t think TOEE was really the first published TSR Campaign.
The G ( 78-81) series was meant to be played into the D (78-81) series and end with the Q (1980) series. They were all linked and were sold that way.
Plus the Slavers ( A1- A4: 1980 and 1981) and Desert of Desolation (I3-5 82-83) were both presented as campaigns as well. And AC3/AC8…

But I’m excited to hear about the ideas for updating the other old adventures.
N1, B4, X1 – X2, and I1 would be great to hear about.
Back in the day, we didn’t expect to play the C Series, I Series, or S Series as a campaign, because they weren’t promoted that way.
