You know, after a second look I’d have to agree with you Stacy. I think I said it was alright but the GM section doesn’t follow many of the tenants of GMing I really hold near and dear but I think the rest of the text of the book reinforces the idea of being adventurous explores a strange and dangerous world. I mean everything in that book is almost gygaxian levels of weird and thought provoking. I’m having trouble finding the right word for it but its almost like there’s a filter over the screen when I run Numenera that makes everything a little more Surreal almost ephemeral. It’s also one of my favorite settings to come out in recent memory. I get Eberron levels of excitement when I think about Numenera.

Great episode, loved the section on learning new games and learning to GM games but I do have to disagree with what you say about Numenera. I’m sorry but this GM section is horrible. It teaches the GM to lie, to mislead the players, and to do all the other things that make for bad GMing. It’s just bad and it makes me sad. 🙁
